Technology

The Court Technology Office of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court is responsible for managing the security, planning, design, programming, implementation, support, and training for all court technology systems across the circuit. With a dedicated team of professionals, the office evaluates new technologies, develops custom applications, and provides ongoing support for staff and court operations.

The team handles approximately 7,000 service requests annually, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, equipment relocations, and off-hour standby support. This includes managing systems for computers, communication, applications, and audio-visual technology. The Technology Office also collaborates with county IT departments and the Office of the State Courts Administrator to ensure seamless integration across jurisdictions.

Courtroom Technology

The 19th Judicial Circuit offers advanced technology to support multimedia evidence presentation. Most courtrooms are equipped with high-definition displays, presentation systems, assistive listening devices, and video conferencing tools. Mobile stations are also available in the courthouse and can be reserved for use. To reserve a mobile station, click here.

Litigants can present multimedia evidence such as PowerPoint slides, video depositions, and electronic documents. Equipment use is free on a first-come, first-served basis, with training available upon request.

ADA Assisted Listening Devices

These hearing devices allow participants with hearing difficulties the ability to hear the proceedings more clearly.

Video Conferencing

The A/V section designs, maintains, and supports video conferencing tools, including:

  • Poly Hardware-Based Systems: H323/SIP for secure, high-quality conferencing.
  • Software Solutions: Platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

These systems are available in most courtrooms for remote testimony, reducing travel costs for courts, taxpayers, and litigants.

Presentation Devices

The Nineteenth Judicial Circuit has added wireless presentation devices to many courtrooms and offers several mobile stations for enhanced presentation capabilities. These carts are equipped with HD TVs, built-in computers, cameras, speakers, wireless keyboards, and are connected to the courthouse’s wireless network.

The mobile stations also provide the option to connect your personal computer, allowing you to use the display for presentations. For instructions on using or reserving a mobile station cart, please visit our Audio-Visual Request page.
