Girl Scout Law Day

April 26, 2025

On April 26, 2025, St. Lucie County Judges Lauren Sweet and Daryl Isenhower and 19th Circuit Judge Anastasia Norman hosted more than 60 Girl Scouts from The Gemini Service Unit of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida for Girl Scout Law Day. In three separate courtrooms, the girls conducted mock trials. They acted as prosecutors, defense attorneys, witnesses, Court Deputies, Deputy Clerks, jurors, judges, and the defendant in State v Moana. Assistant State Attorneys, Assistant Public Defenders, and Court Deputies assisted in coaching their Girl Scout counterparts. Everyone had fun and learned something about how our judicial system functions.
