Appellate Division

The Appellate Division of the Circuit Court reviews appeals and other matters within its jurisdiction as provided by law. This may include certain appeals from county court, administrative decisions, and petitions for writ of certiorari arising from local governmental bodies acting in a quasi-judicial capacity, such as city and county commissions and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

Cases are assigned and managed in accordance with administrative order, under the supervision of the Appellate Administrative Judge. Matters are assigned to circuit judges for disposition, and are reviewed by a panel of judges when required by law.
